Fashion designer Dana Boguslavsky founded Danachka in 2005. The name comes from her Russian heritage and is an affectionate way to say Dana in Russia. Dana’s mother and inspirational mentor shows her anything is possible if you love what you do. As a young girl, Dana had an abundance of fabrics and trims all around and this is where her fascination began. Her mother’s workspace was a treasure trove of fabric off-cuts, trims and buttons. Dana would play there for hours sorting and admiring the array of colour and texture around her.

 

Dana loved that she always had a special outfit made just for her and now she loves creating the beautiful dresses for her clients. Danachka clients are people who love to dress up, celebrate life and be individual. Danachka is fortunate enough to be able to give back to the community and we are proud to support charities such as Fashion + Aid and a variety of events and charities.
